Designer villa by the architect Luis de Garrido

Inspired by the shape of the football, architect Luis de Garrido designed a fantastic eco-house designed specifically for Argentine football star Lionel Messi. The Eco House "1: 0" has a massive, cylindrical shape and has a roof garden with lush vegetation and sustainable features.

From the lifestyle and interests of his ideal client - Lionel Messi, the architect created this virtual home in relation to the well-known footballer.

The eco-house should be on a land area 35 km. north of Barcelona. From the bird's eye view, the structure looks just like a football with the typical hexagonal pattern. Half of the roof will be covered with grass and the other half - a triangular grid of mirrored glass that lets the daylight flood freely into the house.

Wooden terraces around the house connect the interior and the exterior. Visitors can enter the house through a gate with a green roof. In the backyard is a huge pool.

This eco-house is a collaborative project by the National Association for Sustainable Architecture, where architects design eco-house designs for a list of famous people.
