Ginger skeletons
A recipe that is easy to prepare. The cookies can be designed as you like using different shapes.
The required ingredients:
- 350 g of flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 2TL ground ginger
- 100 g of butter
- 175 g brown sugar
- 4 SL light sugar syrup
- 1 beaten egg
- melted white or black chocolate as decoration
The preparation:
Sift the flour and add the baking powder and ginger. Mix the soft butter with the flour by hand until lumps form.
Then add the brown sugar, the syrup and the beaten egg and mix well until a firm dough results. Leave the dough in the fridge for half to one hour. Then roll out thinly on baking paper. Cut out the desired molds (about 12 pieces result from this dough mixture). Put it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper or buttered with some butter and bake at 190 °. When the cookies turn red, remove and allow to cool.
On the finished cookies, use a syringe bag to paint the skeleton. With the white chocolate, first paint the body and eyes, then the nose and mouth with the dark chocolate.
Light, crispy, yummy
Meringue ghosts
The ingredients:
- 4 egg whites
- a pinch of salt
- 160 g of sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- melted chocolate for the decoration
The preparation:
Preheat the oven to 150 °. Beat the egg white with some salt to snow. Afterwards, add the sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes stiff and shiny. Pour the mixture into a wider-mouthed syringe bag.
Form 16 to 20 ghosts on a baking tray covered with baking paper using the piping bag. The meringue molds will double their size. Turn the oven down to 100 degrees and bake for about 2 hours until they become hard from the outside. Leave the oven door open, as the meringues should not turn brown. Even shut down the oven to 80 ° if necessary. Turn off the oven and let the ghosts in until they are completely cold.
Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Shape the eyes and mouth with a thin syringe bag.
Now you have two cool Halloween dessert recipes through which you can delight your guests. Have a nice celebration and let it crack!
